BRIEF:

Create thirteen individual characters and the world they exist in, telling their stories through the cover art of their own comic book-style zine.

“The Skuttlebutt” acts as an ongoing illustration and creative writing series with a focus on narrative storytelling and world-building.

DELIVERABLES:

• Character Design: Artwork for 13 unique comic book-style characters

• Storytelling: Communicate the narrative through the zine cover art. Stories are fleshed-out within the zine in three “issue” arcs, with each story arc comprising one “volume.”

• Each issue introduces a new character to the series.

• World-building: Create a setting and back-stories for the characters.
